Publisher Cancels Holocaust Memoirs

When I first heard of this story, I thought it was beautiful and worth telling. A man, as a prisoner in a concentration camp, meets his future wife at the fence and falls in love through her simple acts of kindness. Now we find out that the main premise of that story was made up. The book will not be published. If the author had been truthful from the beginning, would this be such a big deal?
